Prim Commodities, Prim Agriculture, OFI Prim KappaStocks and Prim KappaVol are co-ordinated diversified FCPs (UCITS III), eligible for life insurance, but not for share savings plans.
Prim Energies and Prim Gold are French Managed Futures Hedge Funds (“FCIMTs”). They are not eligible for share savings plans or for life insurance.
FCIMTs are not subject to the same rules as “all subscribers” UCITS’ and can therefore be riskier; they are reserved for target subscribers in accordance with
Article 416-2 of the AMF’s General Regulation.
Subscribing for a FCIMT requires the signing of a specific affidavit that you will find below.
The FCIMT affidavit will no longer be necessary in the case of a sale or second subscription to the same fund.

The FCIMT is a legal type of fund accredited by France’s Financial Markets Supervisory Body (“AMF”), which offers more flexible rules in terms of risk diversification than the traditional “FCP” and allows for the use of leverage and selling short. It is subject to the AMF’s rules concerning rigorous compliance with written management commitments contained in fund prospectuses. In addition, 40% of the funds must remain in liquid form and the fund’s valuation must be calculated on a daily basis.
As the funds Prim Energies and Prim Gold are not sufficiently diversified in terms of the number of assets used in order to qualify as general FCPs, the FCIMT is the only solution for obtaining AMF accreditation. However, these funds have committed themselves in the prospectus not to use leverage or short selling. Their management objective is to replicate the performance of an underlying asset or a basket of underlying assets. The theoretical risk is therefore equivalent to the fluctuations of the underlying asset.
